The History of Kiri No Hana

Long ago in Japan, it was said that when a baby girl was born, a Kiri (Paulownia) Tree would be planted in the garden. When the girl had grown, and married, the wood of that tree would be used to make the tools and furniture she would use in everyday married life. The high quality wood of the Kiri tree is light, resists moisture, fire, breaking and warping. It has so many uses and has come to serve an important role in Japanese cultural life.
Our brand "Kiri no Hana" is named after beautiful blossoms that bloom on Kiri branches; branches of trees which become high quality wood and can be transformed into a remarkable variety of beautiful products.
